Job Title: Systems Engineer Pre-Sales - Automation & Robotics

Location: East Peoria, IL

Period: Full-Time

The Primary responsibility of this position is to collaborate with sales team and be able to successfully conceptualize automation/robotic solution to customer requirements while achieving business/sales goals of Automation & Robotics department.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the SALES ENGINEER:

  • Proactively partner and collaborate with the team to develop electro-mechanical automation solution concepts & submit techno-commercial proposals
  • Actively participates members of the team to plan and execute effective automation / robotic solutions
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of management
  • Supports Leadership - ensuring smooth implementation and harmonization the customer requirements and relevant data
  • Actively keeps up to date with automation products and interacts with OEM to ensure understanding of new technical developments

 

SALES ENGINEER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record of conceptualizing & designing an automation solution with 8-10 years of overall technical experience and 5 years of working experience in Automation & Robotics field.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, good communication (both verbal and written) skills, negotiation, interpersonal and networking skills
  • Demonstrates an inclusive leadership style with an emphasis on results and developing high performing team members
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills (including presentation skills) across levels, with an ability to persuade and influence, and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • An agile and continuous learner with personal resilience and an ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Required 3-year/4-year engineering education
  • Master's in business administration preferred
  • Design Software: Should have working knowledge of Solid works & auto cad software.
